if we were ever going to live on Mars, a lot of work would have to be done towards making it a safe place for humans.
what needs to be done include:

it is really cold on Mars, like really cold that its average temperature is -55 degrees and the highest temperature that Mars has got to is 20 degrees. so you we would have to somehow make it more hotter. like we all could bring portable heaters or a lot of blankets. if there was electricity on Mars you could bring electric blankets instead of normal ones.

humans would have to get more oxygen because there is only traces of it on Mars. we would need a hell of a lot more oxygen if we are going to live there. humans need a lot of oxygen to survive, we need a lot more than whats on Mars!!!

we would also have to get rid of the toxic gases that are on Mars. like argon is on Mars, which is an inner gas used for welding and carbon monoxide, which is very poisonous to humans. so i wouldnt want to live there if there are poisonous gases there that are threatening to kill me.

so really the answer to living on Mars is no. but it could eventually be done, but as i just said you would need to put a lot of effort into it and it probably wont be until about 2050 before humans are going to live there.
